j's racing 50rs

mmmm... so it's finally here. The J's Racing 50rs axle back exhaust. So glad it arrived just before the weekend on Friday, got some time Saturday morning and installed it, though I do plan to take it off in a few days again and leave it off till spring. The exhaust is pretty light. Pretty easy to hold it up with a finger. Installation was pretty easy too, just undoing two bolts as well as removing the hangers off the stock axle back and then doing everything in reverse order. Thanks to my 4x4 mode, didn't even have to jack to car to install.

As for the noise this thing makes, it's pretty loud in cabin, not the loudest of course, but there is a bit of drone, but i
t's acceptable. Haven't heard the exhaust from outside the car yet but hopefully in the next few days I'll get that chance.

new projectors.

Picked up a set of Q45's today, too good of a deal, couldn't pass it up. Bleh, seems like this is becoming a trend. Need to sell off some of the other projectors I've collected over the years as well... TSX and TT (E46) projectors, so if anyone is interested let me know. Hopefully this time around I'll actually do the retrofit. Can't keep wasting money forever and collect projectors. ¬_¬

lol.

frozen grand central.

Neat.

a history of evil.

new shoos.

Was at a mall over the weekend, not exactly looking for anything but low and behold, found some Evisu Shoos that were on sale. I couldn't resist, had to pick a bunch up. ¬_¬

Picked up: Velkuza,
Kodaku, Naino, and Dowtai.

what [laptop] i use.

At the moment I'm using:
12" G4 Powerbook @ 1.33ghz
768mb of ram
60gb hdd

Decided to upgrade to OSX 10.5 last week, which ended unfortunately, screwing up. Install went perfectly fine but upon restarting, it just wouldn't fully load. Stuck with the rainbow spinning wheel. Yay for buggy Apple software.
Ended up having to do a format + fresh install in order for it to work again. Lost a year or two's worth of work due to this, though it's my fault for not backing up before upgrading the OS. I thought I could trust Apple with something like this. Contemplated picking up a new *PC* laptop cause I'm sick of my crappy Apple experiences. After having a 4th gen iPod die a month or two out of warranty, as well as a 2nd gen iPod Nano die again, out of the one year warranty, this is becoming too much. Apple FTL.

But of course after loading up OSX 10.5 things change. It's just so nice looking. Hard to say no to it. Although the laptop IS getting old and slow, I suppose using it for a bit longer would be the financially responsible thing to do.
I did look at a Sony NR series laptop that was on sale at Best Buy for $800, which was pretty nice looking, clean design, decently fast. Pretty good review here, though their laptop is spec'ed differently. Almost pulled the trigger, but ended up spending on that J's 50RS axle-back exhaust for the Fit. Oh well, perhaps later in the summer would be a better time to pick a new laptop up.

one quick s4.

Damn that's a quick S4. Some more information on the car: click me

what this is about

Couple hours after the first post, I realize it'll probably be a good idea to introduce what this is about. This blog will focus on cars, technology and a bit of graphic design, some of the few things in life I'm passionate about. Some things I find interesting in everyday life will also be thrown into the mix. So really, this blog will be about much. I hope you like it.

Speaking of random, oh why does Valentine's and the AJ-racing winter/spring sale have to be at the same time. My wallet hurts. (I hope Ben@AJ-R doesn't mind me stealing that pic of the 50RS... I did order one from you guys!! :) )

hi.

I hope this doesn't become another failed attempt at blogging. Thought I'd just start this one off with a couple hilarious (well, at least I find it funny) things I've seen lately.

Why would you even think about putting a vectorized picture of yourself on a sign like this? Too cheap to pay a few extra bucks to have a real photograph printed? Strangely enough a couple weeks later after eating at a restaurant I stumbled across her office, with the EXACT SAME VECTORIZED PICTURE. I would've thought at least for something like your office you'd be inclined to spend a bit more.
